The scout bombing strategy seems to be pretty popular these days, and this is how it works. Basically when you send scouts out to attack and city with gates open they will attack the group of units with highest total number of attack points. Cause of that it is a great way to wear down a heavily defended city before sending in the real units to finish the city off. Loosing scouts is real cheap after all, and they are extremely fast to rebuild. Attacking with 100,000 scouts you can take out as many as 30,000 archers or 5,000 ballistas, depending on what troops the target has in his city.
An easy way to find out what troops the scouts will attack is to use the exercise point, say if the defense is 50,000 warriors, 90,000 swordsmen and 100,000 archers, put that into exercise and see what units the scouts damage. You want to make sure the scouts target the important units, usually archers, ballistas or catapults.
Before sending out your 100,000 scouts on a kamikaze mission make sure you check if the targets gates are opened or closed, if the gates are closed your scouts will just die taking out 700 or so archer towers, that’s really a waste of 100,000 scouts. Scout bombing also doesn’t work when there are other units in the attack force, so don’t send 99,000 scouts and 1 warrior, then your scouts will hardly do any damage at all. Make sure you don’t send your best attack heros with your scout kamikaze attack, as there is a decent chance you will loose your hero.
You will loose a lot of honor using this tactic, but honor doesn’t matter anyways, no one really cares about honor points these days. Anyways, feel free to leave comments or questions.[b]
